About

David Procter

Born in Preston, David graduated from North Wales School of Art and Design in 2008 before moving to Falmouth to enjoy a year by the sea.  Following a period enjoying the urban lights of Manchester he currently lives and works overlooking the sea in Southsea, Hampshire.

David uses his trusty mapping pen and a bottle of black ink, combined with his beloved Photoshop, to create dark and humourous illustrations. With a quirky outlook David is able to adapt to many different projects whilst consistently maintaining his own unique stamp.

His first illustrated book, “Lobcocks and Fartleberries,” was released in 2010 through Summersdale Publishing

Recent Clients include: The Boston Globe, Haymarket Publishing, The Times Higher Education Magazine, GE (General Electric), Diplomat Magazine, Contagious Magazine, Copeland Publishing, INK Magazine, Inside Housing Magazine, Cuckoo Design, Subatomic Records, Flotsam & Jetson Clothing, Summersdale Publishing, Cotton Beat and of course The Boathouse (the best pub in Falmouth by a nautical mile) among a host of others

He has also exhibited in a variety of places up and down the country with his most recent show, “Ooh La La!” taking place in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

For illustration commissions please email David directly.  He is always on the lookout for something new to inject his slightly twisted style into.
